Optitainer Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs / Totes) are United Nations IMDG-approved solutions built for the safe transportation, storage, and decanting of hazardous liquids, dangerous goods, and clean fuels by road, rail, and sea. Constructed from low-carbon stainless steel (304 plate with 316 options), these heavy-duty tanks offer superior corrosion resistance at welded joints, minimal carbide precipitation risk, and maximum durability under demanding field conditions.

All units feature UN IMDG-accredited safety components, including pressure/vacuum relief vents (-3.5 kPa to 21 kPa), emergency thermal relief fusible caps (failing at 138°C), compliant anti-splash fill tubes, crane lifting lugs, and lockable valve protection plates. Within the Heavy Duty category, the range is divided into two specialized types tailored to specific industry applications:

1. CHESSHD Series (Chemical Heavy Duty)

Engineered for industrial and chemical supply chains, the CHESSHD series provides containment for Dangerous Goods falling under Packaging Groups II & III (Classes 3, 5, 6, 8, and 9). Reinforced frame stainless steel construction for harsh industrial, mining and offshore environments.

• Primary Applications: Corrosive liquids, industrial chemicals, flammable materials, hazardous goods, and combustible liquids.
